Everywhere you turn, there's a program or resource designed to help you.
Freshman Focus Living Communities is a new academic residential program that lets freshmen live alongside the students in their classes. Freshmen form classroom connections and instant study groups so they can hit the ground running the first semester.
Freshman Seminar is a two-credit elective course to help first-year students deal with the transition into academic life. The program offers approaches to critical thinking, research, and presentation strategies that enhance classroom success.
Six libraries on campus provide group study rooms and computer work stations. WSU Student Computing Services maintains four residence hall computer labs and a central campus lab in the Center for Undergraduate Education (CUE) building. These labs are equipped with the latest software and high-speed internet access as well as wireless internet stations and private study rooms.
The Writing Lab (pictured above) in the CUE offers friendly, expert guidance for your writing projects on any subject. And the University's campus-wide writing program is ranked among the top 13 in the nation, alongside such schools as Harvard and Duke, for developing students' writing skills in all majors. |
